Why Sane & Sustainable?

We all have our stories from our past when it comes to food, our bodies and the confusion, frustration and even shame that can come along with them. And for good reason! We are inundated with information from so many sources that tout the latest diet trends and fads. Our nutrition education in school is sub-par, and for some of us, access to healthy food sources is challenging.

I have my own past with mild disordered eating tendencies, which is hard to admit, but the deeper I get into this work, the more I can see the patterns. Banishing certain foods that I deemed "bad", feeling like I need to "work off" or "earn" my food, restricting food during the week and bingeing on the weekends, etc. These are so common and if you are experiencing them, you are not alone. While I am NOT a therapist, I do know that with a less restrictive diet (way of eating) and education, you can lessen these symptoms. If you are experiencing major symptoms, I recommend you working with a licensed professional who specializes in eating disorders.

For the sake of this membership, however, we will talk about the average woman living in today's modern culture.

Sane & Sustainable Nutrition became my motto and business name because when I was going through my nutrition training, this theme continually popped up. When we take a scientific & safe approach to nutrition, we free ourselves from the burden of crazy & ineffective tactics. Thus, SANE & SUSTAINABLE became my motto.

Here is my promise to you: if it's being taught in this membership, it is a sane and sustainable approach. It is geared toward creating success that will last and designed to create a life that you LOVE to live!
